ELLY Basics short sleeves return and long sleeves arrive

The short-sleeve tops many customers already know from ELLY Basics have returned, and the range now extends into long sleeves. The update keeps the same practical idea: close-fitting, Italian-made foundations that can be worn on their own or beneath the rest of your wardrobe.

The returning short sleeves are made from cotton-modal and come in black, white and grey. The new long-sleeve range introduces regular-length tops and a bodysuit in five neckline shapes, with cotton-rich and stretch-blend options depending on the colour.

The short sleeves return

The Cotton Modal Crew Neck T-Shirt has a higher, rounded neckline, while the Cotton Modal Scoop Neck T-Shirt opens more gently across the collarbone. Both are close-fitting Italian-made tops in a cotton-modal blend. Check each product page for the colours and sizes currently available.

Long sleeves arrive in five neckline shapes

The new long sleeves make the neckline a more deliberate part of the outfit. The crew-neck top keeps the opening compact and familiar. The mock-neck top adds a short upright collar, while the turtleneck extends higher with a fold-over neck.

For a more open shape, the deep scoop-neck top has a low rounded neckline and regular-length hem. The scoop-neck bodysuit gives a related neckline with a bodysuit construction that stays contained beneath trousers or skirts.

Choosing the neckline

Think first about how you want the top to sit with the clothes you already wear. Crew, mock and turtleneck shapes give jackets and coats a more covered base. Scoop and deep-scoop necklines leave more space around the collarbone and work well when you want the top itself to feel more open.

Then check the lower half of the outfit. A regular-length top gives you the choice of wearing it tucked or untucked, while the bodysuit keeps its edge beneath the waistband. When trying one, raise your arms, sit down and put on the jacket or cardigan you expect to wear with it. The neckline should stay comfortable, the sleeves should not bunch excessively, and the hem should work with your usual waistlines.

Black, white and dark mélange grey

Black and white continue across the new long-sleeve range, while several regular-length styles are also available in dark mélange grey. The grey versions use a stretch blend; the black and white versions featured here use stretch cotton. The individual product pages provide the exact composition, available colours and current sizes for each style.

The point of the update is simple: the familiar short sleeves are back, and the new long sleeves give you more choice in neckline, coverage and how the top sits beneath the rest of an outfit.
